The Parasol Community Collaboration recognized those whose contributions made a difference in our community this year. At the December 4th event, 15 individuals or groups were acknowledged.
Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation recognized Jonathan Mueller, of Sierra Nevada Journeys, with its first Spirit of Social Entrepreneurship award.

Providing Unique Leadership

The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation’s vision is to change behavior; by promoting an entrepreneurial model for non-profit management through collaborative efforts which effectively utilize limited community resources and by supporting the charitable passions of informed and engaged donors.

Catalyzing Non-Profit Collaboration

We support the Parasol Community Collaboration, an association of over 50 local non-profit agencies working together to provide effective and efficient programs and services to our community through: innovative residency grants, meeting space grants, storage space grants; a 15-member AmeriCorps program; community grant programs; training workshops; and administrative staff support.

Encouraging Engaged Philanthropy

Donors – individuals, families, businesses, non-profit organizations or service groups – can count on the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation to provide a variety of charitable giving options, investment management expertise, and informed professional service as we partner in building a strong community.
